Honeybees, those small and sweet insects are especially important for us at Weekendbee. As you already may know our mission is to add knowledge of how important honeybees really are for all of us. There is still a lot to do and you can help us!
We encourage all of you to make your mark and grow flowers during the summer. This is the easiest way to help.
Here are few tips of what is coming this summer…
We´ll tell you interesting facts about bees. For example how many of you know:
- what is the difference between the bees and the wasps?
- why bees are so important to us human beings and also to our planet?
- how much effort does it take to produce one pound of honey?
- how do bees communicate with each other?
We have our very own summer hive and you will be able to follow the life of the hive with Sugar Daddies.
We will support the project called Melliferopolis which examines the life of honeybees in the urban environments. During this summer we will tell you more about this project and what kind of concrete actions they have already done and will do in the future.
